Enjoying their gardens from the comfort of a light-filled sunroom was the client’s top priority when they first came to us. However, the existing sunroom’s overhang obstructed the view, limiting the connection to the landscape. We resolved this by shortening the new sunroom by three feet and introducing a triangular bay window, opening up a sweeping, panoramic view of the gardens below.
What began as a focused sunroom renovation soon evolved into a comprehensive whole-house remodel for Fog Ridge. Our design approach unified the home’s front and rear exteriors while reinforcing an indoor–outdoor connection, bringing more natural light into every space. The first-floor layout was reimagined to improve circulation, enlarge the entry foyer, and incorporate a full bath. We also modernized the mudroom and added a butler’s pantry for increased functionality. On the exterior, updates included a new front porch and garage, black-sashed windows, fiber-cement horizontal siding and a refreshed finish for the existing brick, creating a cohesive and contemporary look.
