Our client’s goal for this project was to add a modern twist to their rustic farmhouse overlooking 100 acres of farmland. The intent was to infuse a modern aesthetic and an abundance of natural light in the design and finishes for the bedroom, office and his + hers’ bathrooms.
To maximize the efficiency of the existing layout, we removed the two small single showers in each bath and combined them to create a shared steam shower; easily accessible from each bathroom. Matching roof lines and materials were crucial to ensure this addition flowed seamlessly into the existing structure. The exterior material palette included a standing seam metal roof, cedar siding and energy efficient windows and doors. The interior bath finishes boast custom fabricated teak vanities + shelves, porcelain floor tiles and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
